Context Menu Enhancer is a system modification tool. It gives the context menu quite a bit more usability. The context menu is the one that pops up when you right-click somewhere on your computer or even on files. There are a few things that Context Menu Enhancer does to this menu.

The first one is add shortcuts to common operations. If you open the application after installing it, you will see under the General tab the following items: Open File Location, Copy to Folder, Move to Folder, Encrypt, Create File List, Print File List, Open in Notepad, and Administrator Command Prompt. Most of those are pretty self-explanatory, but I will tell you which ones are my favorite. The first one is "Encrypt". This creates a security barrier that will prevent other users from modifying your files. In the past, I used to use TXT file lists, and the "Create File List" does this very well.

Another thing that this application does is allow you to add new locations to the "Send To" menu. This is very easy to set up and it is also a great time-saver. By simply selecting a folder from the application, that folder will be added to the send to list immediately.

In my testing, Context Menu Enhancer gave me an error when I tried to change the context menu items. It didn't apply any settings for me and I was given the choice of quitting the app or continuing running it. I am running XP SP3.
